The Lagos office of Innjoo mobile technology was besieged this week by a team of Nigerian Communication Commission (NCC) personnel, where it was reported that a fine of 4 million Naira was earlier imposed on Innjoo for selling substandard phones to consumers.
According to NCC, in August 2015 their enforcement action on Innjoo led to the discovery that Innjoo was selling phones that were not approved by them.
And that as a result of the recent raid, Innjoo’s Lagos office was sealed up for violating the NCC law put in place.
Furthermore, NCC noted that with the type of unapproved phones that Innjoo is selling that network quality will be hindered.
But guess what?
As NCC raided and imposed the N4million fine and sealed Innjoo’s Lagos office for selling substandard phones, Innjoo immediately brought out the money and paid in cash, and this immediately led to NCC lifting the suspension as Innjoo continues their normal business.
